Do you know when your driver’s license expires?

We’re on our own...from now on, it is up to each of us to make sure we keep track of when our license is up for renewal.  If we forget and our license expires, we could face an expensive fine.

When does your license expire? The Registry won't tell you

Paul & Dixon and Stoddard Insurance are here to help by offering The StarMinder Program.  This free service alerts you to upcoming expiration dates for: drivers licenses; registrations for up to 3 vehicles; and MA safety inspection stickers.  You will receive 3 expiration reminder messages:  an email (30 days before), a voice mail (20 days before) and a text message (10 days before).  Sign up is easy.  Just just go to StarMinder; then fill out and submit the StarMinder registration screen." 

Mail notices eliminated

Discontinued notices include: driver’s license renewals, vehicle inspection reminders, driver’s education certificates, Junior Operator brochures for parents, MA ID renewals, license reinstatement letters, registration reinstatement letters.

Retire green license plates

The RMV is anxious to replace GREEN license plates that have become illegible through loss of paint or reflective quality with the new Spirit of America RED plate. Green plates can be swapped for red plates at no fee. Massachusetts regulations require that license plates be readable from a minimum distance of 60 feet. If your plate is illegible, you may be cited by law enforcement or you may be rejected for an inspection sticker.
